Dr. Michelle Chung

Dr. Michelle Chung received her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo. She grew up in Toronto and lived there for most of her life until she moved to the United States to pursue her Doctor of Optometry. She went on to attend Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated with an additional certificate for Advanced Studies in Specialty Contact lenses.

Dr. Michelle Chung passion is in speciality contact lenses and received certificates for in the Health Canada and FDA-approved MiSight 1-Day Myopia Control Lenses and corneal reshaping technology also for myopia management. She is experienced with fitting scleral lenses, hybrids and corneal gas permeables (GPs) in patients with severe dry eyes, post-corneal refractive surgeries, keratoconus, high prescription and other corneal disease. Her hobbies include exploring new restaurants, ice skating and playing volleyball.“

Dr. Michelle Chung is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society. She is also a committee member and contributing author for the International Myopia Institute. She is passionate about specialty contact lens education and has authored and presented globally on the subject matter.
